2. Sales Engineer
General Summary: Provides technical sales support to customers.
Identifies customer’s need and sales opportunities to maximize and grow
sales.
Essential Duties:
- Sales development
- Product demonstration
- Assist customers in recommending and specifying solutions
- Obtain RFQ
- Quoting & Follow up
- Understand customer’s need and target pricing
- Negotiation
- Post-sale support
- Approach to target potential strategic accounts.
- Generate leads through attendance at trade shows
- Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential
customers
- Serve as an active member of the division management team
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Mechanical engineering background
- Minimum of 5 years experience in providing initial design assistance and
selling engineered products
- Highly motivated to succeed
- MUST be able to cold call prospects for new business
- Experience working in a remote office environment
- Involve in stamping or plastic injection molding to Tier 1 or 2
- A strong interpersonal, communication and organization skill
- Capability of selling in a competitive industry
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel
- Some experience working with manufacturer reps is a plus
Working Conditions: Work is performed outside and remote
office environment
